- It is estimated that nearly 7,500 Australians will be diagnosed Lymphoma in 2023, which equates to 20 people per day.
- The 3rd most common cancer in young people aged 15-29 years in Australia
- It is the 3rd most common cancer in children (aged 0-14 years)
- Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system and is the number one blood cancer in Australia
- There are more than 80 subtypes of lymphoma and many are incurable
- The cause of lymphoma is unknown
- Lymphoma doesn’t discriminate — anyone can get it
- In Australia, a person is diagnosed with Lymphoma every two hours.
- A life is lost to Lymphoma every six hours in Australia; that’s four people a day losing their battle
- 80% of Australians do not know the signs or symptoms of Lymphoma

SIGNS & SYMPTOMS
Common symptoms include:
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Fatigue – overwhelming exhaustion
- Unexplained weight loss
- Drenching night sweats
- Unexplained persistent fevers
- Difficulty getting over infections
- Rash or itchy skin
- A persistent cough or shortness of breath.
